It all started when I saw this cute and very patriotic shirt. I really wanted to wear it on Independence day. But I thought about it too long and then I didn’t trust that it would get here in time if I ordered it. So I decided I could make one instead.
What do you do with the golf shirts your husband wants to get rid off but you think have so much potential? How about turning them into a swimsuit? That’s exactly what I did. I’ll tell you how. Read more “Hubby’s Golf Shirt Refashioned into Swimsuit!” →
Were supposed to hit 116* F this weekend in Arizona so I thought, “I’m gonna refashion a long sleeved shirt!” Although this shirt is rather plain and boring, I thought that cute little red button was adorable. I knew it could be made into something worthy of that button. So I hatched a plan to make it not just summer ready, but cute as a Red Button.

In June of 2022 I mashed together two patterns to make a cute little floral dress. I used the Lyric Peplum and the Allegro Skirt from Love Notions Patterns. I wore it to a summer wedding that same day and loved it. However, I have very recently become obsessed with tiered skirts so I thought I would use a tiered skirt pattern to help me refashion this floral dress. I LOVE a good flared jean! If you have an hourglass body type, flare pants are your ideal choice, as they beautifully complement your curves. They allow you to pick from a variety of styles from high-rise flared pants to yoga flared pants. Consider a waist-hugging style like the Crescendo jeans to accentuate your vivacious curves and confidently flaunt your figure.

All views have gentle shaping at the side seams as well as a deeper curved front hem to give a more feminine look. Read more “Every Fall and Winter Wardrobe Needs a Vest!!” →
These patchy jeans are not only fun and unique looking but they are also a great Upcycling project. You can use remnant fabrics leftover from past projects or jeans you simply can’t bare to part with! Which is precisely what I did. I made these using 3 different denim jeans that truly make these a “Blast From the Past!”
The Vivace dolman pattern by Love Notions is a classic style with a unique v-neck feature with off-set pleat. I love the pleat but I really wanted to make one without to look like a shirt I saw online recently. It’s super easy to remove the pleat, I’ll show you what I did.
