Summer Of the Jumpsuit- The Sunday Romper by Love…
Anyone who knows me, knows I much prefer dresses and skirts over any other item of clothing ie, Pants = leg prisons! However, my first make of 2020 was a jump suit. You can read about it here. After I made that jumpsuit I started thinking, “Maybe pants weren’t all that bad.” When I got the inside scoop that Love Notions was going to be testing a jumpsuit, I signed up. Let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint! I’m here today to introduce you to Love notions Newest pattern, The Sunday Romper!
I used to think that Jumpsuits were only for the skinny size 0 women and girls 16yrs old and under. Boy was I wrong. Jumpsuits and Rompers are a game changer for working women and moms of all ages and sizes. Anyone. Yes anyone can wear one!
I’ve been wearing this gray one for three days now and I have never felt better! It makes getting ready for the day much less exhausting. I mean come on. With all that is going on in the world right now, getting dressed for the day is the last thing on our minds. With a jumpsuit, you just have to make one decision, to wear it. That’s it! Done. Now you have time to focus on more important things.
Maybe you’re thinking, “But Koe, how do you get in and out of it to go to the bathroom?” Good question. The Sunday Romper was designed with a V-neck front and a slightly lower V-neck back. Because it’s meant for stretch fabric with good recovery, you can get that clever V-neck on and off over your hips with ease. Just make sure you use a zig- zag stitch or stretchy thread when attaching the neck band.
If you’re on the fence about a one piece let me tell you about the Sunday Romper and its many options:
- Sizes 0-32
- Meant for stretch knit fabrics
- Has a draw string and elastic waist
- Tank and Dolman sleeve bodice
- V-neck front and back
- Shorts, cropped and full length pants
- Knee and ankle length skirt.
Its like fancy Pajamas and I need more!
Basically, the Sunday Romper has it all and I intend on wearing it all Summer long.\
Happy Sewing!
Koe
